If you are a web designer, developer, or even just someone who tinkers in HTML, chances are you are going to have to deal with users of Internet Explorer. In the past, this meant tweaking your site to adapt to the rendering differences between browsers. With the recent release of IE 8, all that has changed, plus there are some exciting new features that let you add tremendous value to your users’ experiences with very little effort, while not breaking your site for other browsers.
In this session, Glen Gordon from Microsoft will give a tour of IE8. In this interactive session, we’ll take a look at its improved standards-based rendering, and show you how to ensure your sites will render properly for users using IE8. We’ll also cover how to take advantage of IE8’s new end user productivity features like Accelerators, Web Slices and search providers.
