I'm posting on behalf of the Southern Regional Volleyball Association, a 3 state non-profit organization, who is currently seeking an IT person for contract work; specifically, this project involves integrating a content management system with their existing website and potential modifications to the (open source) code. Functionally the site and CMS will be used for online event registration and confirmation, scheduling, and "e-commerce type" applications (even though this is a non-profit). Knowledge of PHP and MYSQL is a must; they are looking for someone in the Birmingham metro area (or reasonably nearby). Compensation is negotiable at per hour, per job/assignment or blended rates with competitive pay and this is a potentially ongoing project. This is an ideal side project for a PHP/MySQL developer to supplement their income while the economy is at a low. Please contact either myself, Brian Brock, at bpbrock@samford.edu or the Southern Regional Volleyball Association directly, attn: Ken Cain at krcj@bellsouth.net for more information. This job is available IMMEDIATELY, despite the economic downturn!
