Computer Technology Solutions, Inc. (CTS, Inc.) is seeking experienced Database Consultants for our Birmingham office. The Consultant position is a key role in our organization. Individuals will possess excellent project management, communication and technical skills. Candidate must fit the requirements below:
** 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005 ** Intimate knowledge of database structure ** Database and query optimization experience ** DTS/SSIS experience required ** Must be able to create maintenance plans to backup database files and transaction logs and perform proactive measures to ensure database responsiveness ** Able to develop stored procedures and functions (both T-SQL and CLR) ** Exposure to C# preferable ** Be able to design a database to support business processes ** Knowledge of software development life cycles a plus ** Experience designing database architectures and developing disaster recovery plans required ** Knowledge of file groups and partitioning required ** Familiar with data warehousing concepts ** Knowledgeable of the various replication models ** Exposure to Analysis Services/ SSAS a plus ** Exposure to SSRS required ** Prefer a Microsoft Certification (MCDBA, MCITP: Database Developer, or MCITP: Database Administrator).
** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ** BS in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or directly related degree is required. ** Clear use of the English language in written and oral communications. Willing to travel.
