SourceMedical is currently seeking an Application Architect for its Radiology Division in Birmingham, AL.
Summary of Position:
As an Application Architect, you will be a key member of the SourceMedical Development team, serving as the primary technical liaison for the tactical operations of development with the analysis and design of software product.
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in the defined areas of technical competency, strong communication skills, and the organizational skills to manage multiple projects and competing tasks/priorities on a daily basis.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Serves as the application expert to the developers from both a technical and functional perspective, serving as the escalation point for all technical issues associated with an application Ensures technical design and prototyping are within the guidelines of the overall architecture Participate in the creation of new feature specification Participate in the complete software development cycle from requirements analysis to deployment of the product Conducts code reviews of developer tasks Assists business analyst in the review of business requirements Assists product management in evaluating new opportunities Report project progress to Development Manager Participate in overall product design Other duties as assigned by manager
Education/Qualifications: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent related field with 6+ years of application experience Strong experience with database and object-oriented software development methodologies and practices Demonstrated ability using the following languages/tools: C# .NET, WinForms, Web Services, XML, Oracle and/or SQL, Ruby, C++ Experience in demonstrating application functionality (new and existing) Team leadership and project management skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to reporting accuracy Excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and competing tasks/priorities Effective interpersonal skills (presentation, written and oral) and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of staff levels
